Reynard is a Singaporean cinematographer and an American Society of Cinematographers Vision Mentee mentored by Russell Carpenter, ASC. He crafts intimate, emotionally resonant stories that cross cultural boundaries, blending a precise command of light and space with an intuitive sense of rhythm to create images that invite audiences to discover emotion organically. His artistic development has been shaped through programs including, the ASC Cinematography Masterclass in Los Angeles, residency at Terre di Cinema in Italy, and a merit-based scholarship to the Cinematography Intensive at Maine Media Workshops in the United States.
With experience across Asia, Europe and the United States, Reynard is able to adapt seamlessly to diverse creative environments. He brings a calm, grounded presence to set and works closely with directors to serve each project with honesty, subtlety, and empathy.
His films have been showcased at film festivals and platforms like Apple TV, Directors Notes, Slamdance Film Festival, NFFTY, SeriesFest, Minikino Film Week and Singapore International Film Festival.
